About the photographer

Judy Dean grew up and lived in the Los Angeles area in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. She was in the studio audience of the legendary TAMI Show. This experience would have a profound impact on her, fueling a lifetime love of rock n’ roll.

In the years following, Judy took up photography and began shooting rock acts whenever she could in such venues as the LA Forum and the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. Her pictures have never been seen before in public.

Judy died tragically in 2001. This is her legacy as a witness to one of the greatest eras of music. We wish to keep her spirit alive by donating a portion of the sales to local women’s shelters. Thank you for your purchase.
